Christmas at The General Tarleton
If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate Christmas in Knaresborough and Harrogate, The General Tarleton is where the festive magic happens.
As the nights draw in and the fires get lit, we do what we do best – feed you well, host you warmly, and let the memories take care of themselves.

December Menus
Festive Set Menu
Three courses, £55, available for parties of any size from Monday 16th November. Think duck liver parfait with mulled wine jelly, a Beef Wellington upgrade if you fancy pushing the boat out, and sticky toffee Christmas cake to finish.
New Year's Eve Menu
Five courses, £90pp, with a glass of Pol Roger to start and something called “GT Snickers” to finish – a fitting send-off for the year. In our opinion, there’s nowhere else worth being on 31st December.
A La Carté Menu
Our main menu keeps running as usual throughout the festive season — with a few festive additions, like pigs in blankets on the side, and seasonal ingredients taking centre stage. Expect specials popping up throughout the month, too.

Looking for a private dining room for this year’s Christmas party, or something simpler for a small team? Either way, we’ve got the room for it — our Hayloft is perfect a sit-down festive dinner, or canapés and Champagne if standing and mingling is more your thing. For something more intimate we have our plenty of areas across the restaurant perfect for festive gatherings.
